The Winner’s Walk is a key strategy in the sport of life/business. When you meet somebody new, your  perception of the person and what you feel about them is based 93% on body language. When you walk like a Winner, people will feel your presence and know you have something to offer. We all know people who are always filled with confidence and walk like they have just won a Gold Medal in the Olympics. The exciting part about your walking like a Winner is that people will want to be around you -- to feed off your energy! As you progress in your day, take a moment and think to yourself, “Do I present myself as a winner?” If the answer is “no”, then I will share with you a few secrets on how to walk like a winner. Miracles Are Your Responsibility

You have a responsibility to create miracles in your own life. The responsibility lies on your shoulders. You can’t blame anyone else, and you can’t look outside of yourself for someone else to create the miracles for you. In this article, I’m going to break down the word “Miracle”, because each of you have a responsibility. As you know, my Why is to impact others and change the world one heart at a time. I suggest that you brainstorm, which means to take some time for yourself and just write down all the dreams that you have but never even wrote down. I also recommend that you write down 100 of them and then put them away for 2 days so that they can sink in a little. When you go back and read them, your inner spirit will direct you to the one that you need to focus on and begin to design with your own “Imagination”. Each of us is empowered to create wealth for ourselves in every aspect of life -- spiritually, physically, and financially! I challenge you right now to utilize your God-given imagination and imagine whatever you want to be then you will empowered to run your nation in the most productive methods possible. The theme for this article is PERSISTENCE. I feel that persistence is one of the main keys behind all successful people. Every successful person will tell you that their ongoing persistence is what separated them from those who gave up. Persistence is the power to hold on in spite of everything else -- to endure. This is a winner’s quality. Persistence is also the ability to face defeat again and again without giving up -- to push on in the face of great difficulty. It also means taking pains to overcome every obstacle, to do all that’s necessary to reach our goals. I am a true believer that you must pay the price for success in life. There is no such thing as a free lunch or a “get-rich-quick” scheme that is going to fulfill you on a long-term basis. “P” is the first letter in the word Persistence and the first letter in Price, which is the key to understanding that you must be truly persistent and willing to pay the price in your endeavor in order to achieve your goals! Most people do not really internalize what being persistent really means. Persistence means when everyone looks at you and says “What do you think you’re doing?” or “Who do you think you are? You continue on your quest for success! The successful person who truly understands the meaning of Persistence will know that this is part of the price you pay – not succumbing to the limitations put on you by others. Anyone who has hit the wall in their success journey has had to turn to their “persistence gene” to see how strong and internalized it really is! I can tell you all the pieces work together for you because if you know your “WHY” you will be able to look inside and pull through. This is persistence! Over the last seven years of coaching  home-based networkers, when someone asks me, “John, what is the #1 reason why people fail in their own network marketing business?” I say with 110% confidence it is because they customize their presentations assuming what each individual prospect will find exciting. This mindset will definitely set you up for failure! The key to success is the power of duplication -- showing the same presentation over and over. You need to be presenting the entire business from A-Z to each and every one of your prospects because you have no idea what is going on inside them as you share the business. You must show your business exactly the same way each time you present your program for two primary reasons: Reason #1 is you will be 100% full of confidence & conviction knowing what you are going to say because you have presented the entire plan from A-Z numerous times the SAME EXACT WAY. Repetition is the mother of skill. Your nervousness will also decrease, because you will become confident in your presentation. John Di Lemme on 'The Power of Story Telling'

Each and every day as we are building our businesses, we all know the key to a successful presentation is a product being sold to the end-line consumer and/or sponsoring a new person. In an upcoming issue, I am going to write about the difference between making a sale and having customer loyalty in the sales process. In the sales process, you are fighting many different types of animals. For most of  those who are in direct sales, you have 45 minutes to present a product/business concept and make a person believe in you, your product, and more importantly have them make a decision that they want what you are offering. When you are presenting the business, it is very easy for you to get very factual and completely lose the interest of your prospect. When you tell a story about the success of someone who is using the product or have a person give a live testimonial about how much they love being a distributor, you will keep the interest of new people who are listening for the first time. For most of us, the first time in our lives that we were ever presented with the concept of a live audience was back in kindergarten when we played “show and tell”. Everyone was always interested in what you were saying because you were simply telling a story. We have all heard of the famous K.I.S.S. rule: Keep It Simple Stupid. When presenting your business or product, the key play is to tell a story and keep it simple. Everyone can relate to the grandmother, who can talk about their grandchild as the most beautiful, precious child in the world. She will make you feel as if her grandchild would be such a gift to own as your own. You need to take that same simplicity and utilize it during your presentation and create the same result - ownership of your product. As you tell stories, people will remember those stories versus all the facts in the world. “FACTS TELL, BUT STORIES SELL.” They should want to get involved in your business or purchase your product because all of the success stories that you told. People love to be part of a winning team. Storytelling keeps people tied into you and your presentation. I always say when in doubt during a presentation, tell a story in order to bring people’s attention back to you. When I present, I ALWAYS tell many stories because when I was first introduced to direct sales, what perked my ears was a story of a young lady who had a lifestyle I wanted. The personal story of her lifestyle is what made me decide to get involved in the business. In that business, I went on to build an enormous organization and all I did was tell my story and tell the company’s story over and over! Combining the key strategy of storytelling along with the correct mindset, you can achieve your wildest dreams!

JOHN DI LEMME ON “GOALS ARE DAMAGING TO YOUR FUTURE”

I know this is a strange follow-up to my last article, but stick with me. Can you relate to setting goals and not achieving them? Have you ever been frustrated by trying to set goals when you know in your heart that you will never reach them? You even say to yourself, “Who am I kidding? I will never accomplish this goal.” That’s why I’m here to tell you that goals are truly damaging for your future, because you beat yourself up over never reaching those goals. On the other hand, goals are very important. Don’t let me confuse you with this just read this carefully. Goals are imperative when you have a strong “Why” in place. Let’s parallel this to a ten-story glass building that is shiny and beautiful to the eye. It towers over the city and creates the skyline. Now let’s imagine that the building was built by a group of amateur carpenters in one day and had a poor foundation. It looked very nice, but wasn’t solid. One day a little bird flew smack into that building, and guess what happened? That little, tiny sparrow knocked down that massive building that looked amazingly strong and powerful from the outside. Why? The foundation was pathetic, and there were no true roots to hold that building in place. No one paid the price for that building to hold its own in the real world despite how it looked to the average person. Let’s tie that into your goals. Your “Why” is your foundation and your roots. Your “Why” must be stronger and bigger than you are right now! You must internalize your “Why” and know exactly “Why” you do what you do everyday to reach your goals. Too many people have set the goals of making a lot of money. Can you relate to that? Have you ever set the goal of making a certain amount of money in a month, and then at the end of the month you haven’t made a dime more? Here’s the reason why. You must know “Why” you want to earn that amount of money for that month. It’s not the money that drives you...it’s your “Why”! What are you going to do with that money? Pay your car payment, donate it to your church, buy your child a new toy...“Why” have you set that financial goal for that month? Another thing, you should never set a goal of “making” a certain amount of money in a month. Instead, after you know “Why” you are setting that financial goal, then set a goal of  WARNING that money not MAKING that money. Remember, no one paid that price for that beautiful ten-story building, and it fell. You must be willing to pay the price and EARN your way to your goal. Let’s go over this again. Goals are damaging to your future. If you don’t have your “Why” in place, then you have no foundation to support you as you head down your success path to completing that goal. Without that foundation, you will give up and be discouraged from ever setting goals for yourself again. It doesn’t matter what type of goal – physical, financial, social, etc. – you must know “Why” you are going pay the price to achieve that goal. If not, then that goal could damage your life instead of assisting you in ultimately achieving success that you’ve always dreamed about. Commit today to develop your “Why” before setting any more goals!

Let me share 3 questions with you that will help you “Find Your Why”.


1) If you did not have to worry about finances or going to your job on Monday morning, then what would you do?

2)If you had so much money that you had to give it away, what would you do with it? Who would you give it to and why?

3) Do you enjoy life? If so, why? If not, then why not? Remember, your past does not control you!


Your future should drive you, because you see yourself successful! After you develop your “Why” and set your goals, you will encounter obstacles and challenges like that little bird that hit that huge building. If your “Why” is strong enough, then unlike that building you will stand firm against whatever tries to stop you from achieving that goal. You will not be knocked down! Remember, goals are damaging if you don’t have a foundational “Why” in place. I challenge you today to ask yourself those three questions, develop your “Why” and then set your goals.

The theme for this article is  GOALS. In order to achieve a goal, you must first have one! The key to hitting your target is that you must first have a specific one to hit. If you ask 100 people where they will be in five years, 95% of people will respond that they do not know! The majority of people fail at building business, because they have a 2-5 hour mindset versus a 2-5 year plan. When someone sets a goal for five years from now and takes into consideration that they will have many ups and downs on that journey, they will never quit because they KNOW what they are working toward. Want proof? Just ask any successful person where they want to be in five years and they will tell you exactly where they want to be with an unmistakable passion in their eyes. Personal goals are what drive you every day toward where you want to be. I ask you right now, “What are your goals? Do you have them written down? Do you have a goal partner?” A goal partner is someone who you share your goals with. The more you vocalize your goals, the more your mind believes you will achieve them. Sadly, most people do not write their goals down, nor do they find a goal partner. People without goals are lost souls just wandering back and forth to their jobs every day in anticipation of FRIDAY. (Re-read that sentence a few times because it SAYS IT ALL!) Today I invite you to change your immediate mindset. Take action! Set some goals! Write them down and tell a friend (goal partner) who believes in you. I often teach on the concept of “addition by subtraction”. Most people have many “friends” but have no goal partners. Often your “friends” will laugh at your goals and dreams. You need to delete this negativity from your life because it is TOXIC! When you subtract this negativity from your life, then you add to your chance of actually accomplishing your goals and ultimately achieving your “Why” in life.

Failing All The Way To The Top - Part 2

John Di Lemme on "That Little Bit Extra"

The “little bit extra” is a very powerful concept to put into practice today in every aspect of your life. The  difference between being ordinary and being extraordinary is that little bit EXTRA. The little bit extra is what separates average performers from CHAMPIONS! In a sales process, the little bit extra is that one extra follow-up call, that extra sincere thank you or the extra little bit of energy that you put into the presentation of your business. This will separate you from your competition. You can either go through the motions of your business or you can give that little bit extra in order to cement yourself in the mind of your potential customer. We all can relate to purchasing a product/service from someone who just gave you a little bit extra attention than their  competitor did and THAT is the reason we bought from THEM! When I personally coach someone, one of my key strategies is to move them to become champions in their field. One of the easiest ways is to show them the value of what a little extra eye contact with their prospects or customers brings. You need to look your prospect or customer directly in their eyes when you are presenting your business! This drives into them your confidence and conviction about what you and your product/service have to offer them. When I coach people, I tell them that the eye contact strategy alone will take them two steps ahead of their competition. Remember, people will feed off your confidence from the look in your eyes. As you progress in your  journey towards fulfilling your WHY, you need to constantly give that little extra! The true sign of a champion-to-be is just when it seems impossible for him/her to give that extra push; they dig deep down and give that little bit extra to fulfill their WHY! When I speak to groups, I train them to have the mindset of always giving a little bit more than their competitor. Over the long run, it will pay off big! A small improvement over a long period of time will produce outstanding results. Now that you know the benefit of giving that little bit of extra effort, you need to ask  yourself a question...”What can I do today and every day with a little more effort to move me to the champion level in my field?” You need to realize someone will be the champion in your chosen endeavor. I am very enthused to address the topic of REJECTION! How you handle rejection is in direct proportion to how you maintain a persistent level of action in order to feel fulfilled and find your WHY in life. As a super-achiever in life (which means you have your WHY in place), you are driven to fulfill your personal goals set for you on a daily basis. In the course of this daily action, you will inevitably encounter rejection and the incredible power it exerts over you! Just when you are feeling great and your business is beginning to grow, you will experience rejection. Out of nowhere, it will slap you right in the face like an icy, cold wind from the Arctic, and your little voice inside begins to doubt whether or not you can really achieve what you initially set out for. YOU MUST  LEARN TO LOVE REJECTION! You must become excited when you get rejected while, at the same time, you attempt to forge ahead! The most successful people are those who have felt the pains of rejection, but because of their DETERMINATION they pressed onward and won the game. As you are building your business, you need to set a goal and continue toward it regardless of the degree of discomfort that rejection may be causing you!  Rejection is an extremely negative force, therefore, it is to your benefit to channel this force to produce positive results! Thomas Edison is famous for the 10,000 ways that a person couldn’t create a light bulb as a result of his numerous attempts to reach his goal – create a lightbulb! As we all know, he eventually succeeded. But rather than seeing his previous attempts as a negative force, he channeled all that he learned to produce the positive result of finally having reached his goal! You too will develop incredible character as you continue to build your business, REGARDLESS of the rejection that you will experience along the way. As a super-achiever, you will use your knowledge of rejection and its power to your advantage! EXPECT REJECTION, LOVE REJECTION,  LEARN FROM REJECTION AND YOU WILL SUCCEED!
